Prophet (صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ) said, "He who provides a fasting person something with which to break his fast, will earn the same reward as the one who was observing the fast, without diminishing in any way the reward of the latter." (Tirmidhi)
Last year, we had witnessed an increase in attendance for our daily Iftaar (we averaged 350 fasting people on weekdays and over 600 on the weekends). We expect similar if not larger turn out this year InshALLAH. We would like to remind you that sign up for sponsoring Iftaar is now open to the community and we don't want you to miss out on the great reward of feeding the fasting people.
If you are interested in sponsoring an Iftaar at the masjid, please fill out the signup form given below. You can also use the signup poster that is located in front of the men's prayer hall entrance. Once we receive your request, we will contact you to confirm if your chosen dates are available. We also contact you for the payment.
The cost of Iftaar is $2,550 on a weekday, and $3,600 on the weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). You can either sponsor a full day or part of a day using amounts ranging from $550 to $750 approximately. You can also choose to support the Iftaar preparations by donating any amount towards purchasing the necessary supplies to serve the meals (paper plates, cups, spoons, tea, milk, etc.)
