Tasty Tuesdays – Weekly Elementary Halaqa

Imam Malik, رحمه الله, once narrated, “My mother would dress me up and say to me: Go to Shaykh Rabi’ah and learn from his manners before his knowledge.

Ibn Al-Qayyim, رحمه الله, said: The religion itself is entirely good character, so whoever surpasses you in character has surpassed you in religion.

It is indeed character and our manners what Rasool Allah ﷺ was sent to perfect. And what great way to discuss and learn manners and etiquette but with a tasty treat 🙂

Introducinga weekly engaging, discussion and activities-based program designed for our young minds in Grades 1st – 5th (brothers and sisters).

The program will run on Tuesdays from 6:35pm to 7:35pm (+/- 5min adjustment for salah).  There will be a tasty treat/snack right at the end of every session iA.

The objective of this program is to develop a sincere relationship with Allah SWT and to perfect character through applicable examples in light of Qur’an and the Sunnah.

Registration Required! To Register, Please Click Here To Access The Registration Form (or below).

The structure will be as follows: The sessions will be split into two levels.

  • The 1st level, Level 1, is for our young minds in Grades 1st – 2nd. Their curriculum would include more activities and a project supporting the theme (tentative: youth garden). The conclusion we are seeking for Level 1 is strengthening their relationship with Allah SWT and being grateful for His countless blessings. This will be achieved through stories, documentaries such as (Planet Earth), art project and other activities.
  • The 2nd level, Level 2, is for our young minds in Grades 3rd – 5th. Their curriculum would include activities and a project as well, however, the ratio of activities to discussion would certainly be more conservative than Level 1’s. The objective of the Level 2 is (a) Level 1 material, (b) understanding the concepts from Surah Al Ikhlaas, and (c) manners and etiquette (lying, cheating, bullying etc..). This will also be achieved through stories, statistics, visual aids, and heart-to-heart discussions.

Lastly, as part of this programming (a standard for all programs), there are quarterly outings planned for the attendees and the families that include but not limited to: Bowling, Trampoline Park, Rock Climbing, Swimming, Movie Night, etc.

There is no admission fee associated to this weekly programming. PS. The team would do their best to keep the outing cost under $10 per person. iA!
